Take a Tour of Our Past Projects & Neighborhoods

Central Highand Builders offers a rich history of building quality homes and planned neighborhoods. Since early
1990, our projects have continually pushed the envelope on combining cost effective building solutions with wonderful
community inspired surroundings. Enjoy a brief look at the projects we have completed over the past several years.

Arvon Village

The project was planned and approved in 1993 as a 10 home, detached residential planned unit development
in Bremerton, WA. The project was conceived as a neo-traditional neighborhood with small Victorian style homes,
for first time buyers, built around a village green. The project was developed, homes constructed and sold by
May of 1994.
Note: Arvon Village attracted a large number of architects, builders and developers who were interested in the
innovative and attractive way we had designed the development as well as the homes. A project on Bainbridge
Island that looks very similar to Arvon Village is the Madison Avenue Town Homes.
Central Highlands.

Kitsap County approved this 20 unit detached home, planned unit development in early 1995. Barry created
additional home models with more design features of the Victorian/craftsman homes of the past to help create
the friendly village atmosphere of older neighborhoods. This community was developed and built during 1995
with home sales completed in early 1996.
Broadmoor Village.

This project was a joint venture between Central Highland Builders and the Family Pancake House's construction
subsidiary, FPH construction Inc. FPH owned and developed the land utilizing Central Highland Builders land planning
design and development consultation. Bremerton approved this project as a 42 home detached planned unit
development in 1996. Design and construction of the 42 homes by Central Highland Builders was completed in early
1998; sales of the homes is complete. Broadmoor village has been toured by many of the areas architects, land
planners, builders and developers from the west sound as well as Seattle. Broadmoor is currently competing for an
award in the "Builder's Choice" awards conducted by the national magazine for the construction industry, "Builder".
Fernbrook.

The City of Bainbridge Island approved this 10 lot plat under the flexible lot ordinance in October 1997. The
development was designed to provide a large open space useable for casual active recreation as well as passive
enjoyment of the natural areas of the ravine adjacent to the property. The project was "built out" with a combination
of homes designed by Barry, with personalizing in some cases by our customers, as well as completely custom
designed homes, with the design service included by Barry. Sales were completed in early 2000.
Weaver Creek.

This project was a joint venture between Central Highland Builders and the Samson Family Land Co., LLC.
It is a 27 lot plat approved under the flexible lot ordinance by the City of Bainbridge Island. Since late 1997
all residential projects that have eight or more units planned must have 10% affordable housing included;
we decided to embrace the affordable housing with its own street, Strawberry Lane, with access to Weaver
Road. Strawberry Lane was developed with 9 homes, utilizing the "self help" program. The 18 "open market lots"
are served by Moji Lane and were built with "craftsmen" style cottages and bungalows with front elevation
designs provided by Charles Wenzlau, architect. The project was built and sold out by mid 2000.
Stonecress.

Stonecress Townhomes are old fashioned craftmans style 1.5 to 3 story town homes in the heart of Bainbridge.
